Ingredients
  

  • 1 block Extra firm tofu
  • 3 tbsp white miso
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • ¾ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Drain tofu and cut into 4 slabs. Place tofu on a tea towel or paper towel and cover and place a weighted item like plate or book on top and allow the moisture to press out for 30-1 hour.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients with 1/3 cup of cold water.
  • Cut the tofu into small cubes and place in a glass jar or container and pour the marinade over the cubes. Ensure the tofu is covered with the marinade. Mix lightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This will stay well in the fridge for up to 1 week.
