Healthy Vegan Chocolate Donuts- Oil Free

Oil Free Vegan Chocolate Donuts

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ cup nut butter (almond, peanut or sunflower)
  • ½ cup plant based milk
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Chocolate glaze

  • ½ cup vegan chocolate chips
  • splash of plant based milk or cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, mash banana and add remaining wet ingredients, vanilla, nut butter, plant based milk and maple syrup. Combine well.
  • Sift in the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not over mix or you will have tough donuts.
  • Prepare you donut molds. I’m using silicone and I don’t grease mine but you can spray yours. Using either two spoons, or pastry bag, fill the donut mold. Make sure the batter is dispersed equally.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.Meanwhile, in a small bowl mix the sugar and cinnamon together and set aside
  • Dip each donut and enjoy

Chocolate Glaze

  • Add chocolate chips to microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds and stir each time until melted and add splash of milk to thin out.
